Turtle Wax Ice

I just bought some today for $15 at Autozone. This stuff is great. I literally rubbed it on everything (paint, bumper, taillights, headlights, fender flares, mirrors, etc.). After it dried I buffed it off. No worries about getting wax anywhere you shouldn't. It's just like Mothers "Back to Black" but can be used on paint too.

Thanks for the info Trooper. I am sloppy with wax and get white residue everywhere. Gonna give this stuff a try.

How does it perform as an actual wax though?

Is the finish shiny? Does water bead up properly? How long does it last?

Yes it does. Some have said it does not last as long, but mine is still going strong after a month. Nothing anoys me more than the white crap on the plastic after a good wax. Never again!!!

Consumer Reports, for what it's worth, didn't rate it highly. No spray on wax was given any durability ratings.

Climate has got to be taken into consideration too.....the climate that we live in, this stuff isn't going to cut it unless you want to apply once every other week.

There best rated wax was the Black Magic Liquid Wax. We just bought it for my Father-in-law for Father's day ($7 a bottle). Will let everyone know how it performs.

I have the ice stuff in my garage...waiting for my "lazy" self to get of her arse and try it out. I think I'll try it on JT's truck. I dont see much of a difference in shine on my truck irregardless of which wax I use. Oh but then I gotta pull out the extension ladder to do his truck....nevermind. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/011.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt017' />

It's not a spray. I comes in a bottle with an applicator and a microfiber buffing cloth. I wouldn't stack it up against the best wax for durability, but this stuff is so easy to use, I wouldn't mind putting on after every washing. It makes all of the truck look great (including plastic trim) and takes about 1/2 an hour to do the whole truck. I was using "Back to Black" for the trim already, and this stuff is better. I've had many compliments.

I'm gonna try it. This back to black works good but if I can skip a step and still have a waxed truck then thats what I'm gonna do. 1/2 hour to wax my truck? <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/004.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> H#ll ya I'm gonna buy some.

Okay, now I'm back to giving this a fair shot... Especially for the rubber parts, etc...

Then again, 99% of my truck is fully painted...

I still recommend it. Although it doesn't last as long as conventional waxes, it works great between washings and really shines up ALL parts of the truck (especially black vehicles!)

I even use it on the black vinyl top of my convertible.
