Towing upgrades

Well, as many of you know I go to north carolina every summer on a motorcycle trip with my wife and some friends from another forum. Last year coming down one of the mountains I about burned out the front rotors on the T. They had been turned once already, so I fought with them all year. Finally two weeks ago, I replaced the pads and rotors.

I also decided to have brakes added to my 12' trailer to assist in decelerating especially on the steep grades going down hill.

Last night I pulled the trigger on my brake controller, a Tekonsha P-3. Everything I've read says it's the "best" unit on the market right now.

Yesterday a friend from the MC forums stopped to pick up my trailer, he's going to outfit the brakes for me.

I am hoping that this will prevent overheating and warping on the front rotors from now on, especially going down steep grades.

I got my P3 installed t his morning. Piece of cake!

So easy...

But what I had the hardest time with was locating the plug.

So, to be specific: REMOVE THE LOWER TRIM PANEL under the STEERING WHEEL.

Look in the mess of wires DIRECTLY ABOVE THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL.

For you guys with controllers installed... do yours stay ON all the time when plugged in?
