Towing Relay p/n's

For those of us that bought our Titan's without the big tow package, and later on decided to add on a aftermarket hitch, I thought that I would post the p/n's for folks looking for these relays.

Relay 1 - 25230-79944 Blue based relay. $17.00 or so

Relay 2 - 25230 79963 Brown based relay. $20.00 or so

You will need both of these relays I am told in order for your turn signals to work and other running lights to work. They plug into the relay box under the hood just behind the battery. And they only plug in one way so there is no way you can put them in the wrong place. Hey mods!! reckon we could make this a sticky topic <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/017.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />

Here's a diagram with the part numbers. I would also like to add that this is for the 04 & 05 models only. All 2006 and newer trucks require 2 of the smaller relays now (tow relay #1). So you need a total of three relays.

[quote name='nascarjody']I am glad you posted that. Before I got my hitch I was trying to find the correct relays. if you get a nissan hitch it will come with rhe relays & adapter.

Do you have the nissan adapter part #?

Sorry dude ain't got that info. But you should be able to go to Wal-Mart or any autoparts store and get one. Ask for a 7 pin round blade to 4 flat adapter.

no there is an adapter that goes from the connector that is prewired unfer the truck to make it the 7 pin connector.

This is what I was talking about. Apparently we're not on the same page.

If you can't find one, I think I have one that I could sell you. I bought it thinking I would use it and have no need for it now. I just added the 4 pin flat pig-tail and spliced it directly into the harness under the truck. Let me check and I'll let you know. I think there is a 7 pin flat & a 4 pin flat on this adapter I have.

Yeah I think so, or something like it. Our truck uses a standard Ford/GM adapter.

we are not on the same page . I am talking about the adapter frome the harness that mounst on the hitch that the 7pin to 4pin adapter plugs into.

I know it all comes with the kit but there are some poeple that dont need the hitch for small loads. they just need the relays & adapters.

Well that part that I posted in #9 plugs into the harness that is mounted on the bumper underneath the truck. Do you see the socket that has the wires running from it to the larger part that has the 7 pin socket and the 4 flat plug? It plugs into the harness under the truck. The round socket is for the 7 pin RV plug and the 4 flat is for utility trailers and etc.... Which mounts on your bumper next to your receiver hitch. I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not, Just thought I would try and help. Do you already have the hitch and etc..? You are just looking for a 7 pin adapter correct?
