Since I was about to wash the Titan, and I had the hood open to check out a rattle, I decided to try out a little SGEC! (Simple Green Engine Clean) I have heard that Simple Green works well for cleaning the engine compartment, and it is true. I just sprayed everything with a decent coat of Simple Green and let it sit for a few minutes. I then took the hose and sprayed the Simple Green off to reveal a clean engine! Woohoo!

And for the record, this is the first time I have ever cleaned an engine on a car with the exception of my 1970 BMW 2002 before my dad & I started trying to get it to run so I could drive it. I am not one of those anal people who freaks out that my engine is a little dirty.

Simple Green also has many other uses as a cleanser/degeeaser. I also use it to clean my tires because it makes the white white and the black black.

Best bug cleaner for the little NorCal bugs that sound like you're driving through a cloud of rice. (orange critters, at least after they splat).

I concur. This stuff is awesome. I have been using it on my tires for quite some time now and the raised white letters look as good as new.

I use simple green for everything imaginable, except I don't buy it in those wimpy little spray containers... I buy it by the gallon.
