PRG Mini Lift Kit and PRG Shackles

I want to get some lift out of my 2wd, I want to install the PRG Mini Lift 2.5" in Front and the 1" or 1.5" in the rear. http://www.prgproducts.com/shop/product/pr..._mini_lift_kit/

But I also want to install the PRG shackles, http://www.prgproducts.com/shop/product/pr...titan_shackles/ . The reason for the shackles is to lower the rear of the truck back down 1", to be level with the front, BUT will this also (the use of the shackles for lowering, with the lift block) "tighten" the springs in the rear so the truck will not "sag" as much when I tow my boat or load my 650 lb four wheeler in the bed???

Do the shackles put a different angle or height on the springs as if the truck was already loaded with weight???

I guess the point of the question is I want to lift my truck and also at the same time keep the rear mostly level when under a load. I want to stay away from air bags if possible...

Any help would be appreciated... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/006.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt023' />

From what I'm understanding you want to lift but keep the same amount of rack you have now? Are you putting bigger tires on or just the leveling kit? The shackles are a good upgrade and will provide small height adjustment both up or down. By using the lift block and shackle you aren't going to experience any spring rate change, it's the same set up I have.

Don't think the block will help with sagging, (if you pull the springs back down with the PRG shackle). idk for sure though.

The PRG shackle is longer, and has three mounting holes: 0", -1/2", and -1". I'd just get the front level kit and the shackle set for 0", which protects from the leafs going through the bed when/if the OEM shackle unrolls, (early models weren't welded all the way across the seam) , and get the air bag.

Btw, Greg of PRGproducts.com, says that the ride is a lot better with the Airlift bags than the Firestone ride-rite bags, on a Titan.

The p/n is 59554 (at least for the 2004-2008 Titans. '09s weren't listed), and there are various compressor kits to pick from ... some even sense the load and automatically adjust the bags. Here's the catalog: http://www.airliftcompany.com/online_catalog.html

Here's the main product page http://www.airliftcompany.com/al1000.html

I have the mini lift kit and shackles. I had slight rake but used the middle mounting hole on the shackles and that leveled me out. OH, the airbags swarren mentioned. I have those also. A must have for hauling/towing heavy stuff IMO.

Landon I got lucky with the 09 Pro4 coilovers... I had a buddy who installed the PRG Extended Travel 4" package so he gave me his Pro4 coilovers. As far as being easy to install....no difference, Installing the PRG leveling kit you gotta remove the coilover and reinstall it. So you just reinstall the pro4 coilover. Check around for guys who install new aftermarket coilovers..and hit them up for the stockers. Thanks for the props....I still want it higher...lol 7" CST lift is what I really want.
