Power outlet in bed

Does anyone know if you are able to boost the power output of the outlet in the truck bed? I was trying to use an inverter and it wouldn't even power the thing. If I use the outlets in the cab it worked just fine. If there is a fuse I can upgrade or something that would help. It's a great idea with the outlet there but if it is underpowered it doesn't help me much.

Thanks!

I have had the same problem. I like to use the inverter with an electric chain saw I have and it would be so handy to plug it into the bed outlet and not run cord through the cab window. I have not found a solution yet.

Also, welcome to the spot!! Come back and post often. I am sure someone here will be responding with help soon. Welcome!!!

My guess is, you should consider upgrading the wiring...

Replacing it with a bigger fuse will only increase the chance of burning something out.

Welcome to the Spot Tie1On. I didn't know what to think once I read the thread title, Power outlet in bed. I though someone might be looking for a source to power up their vibrator. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt020' />

The trick to getting someone to read your thread is to make the title sound just strange enough that someone has to stop in just to see what it is about. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt017' />
