New battery. Replaced my OEM battery in 07 with an Odyssey... Dry cell.. its what the military uses. Got 2 years out of the OEM battery and only 4 years out of the first Odyssey. Im pretty sure my truck eats batteries cause of my AMP power steps, all my accessories and I only drive 7 miles to work. Not enough for the alternator to do its job. Freakin battery on start up? The VK56 wants to run and hide... ;) For the last 2 months my truck would need to be put on a overnight charge. Then as the week went by it would crank slower and slower. Finally it would barely start. Guages sputtering, odometer resets, etc... Thus the new juice. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt001' />

I hear Mcg now. LOL.. $300 for a battery? WTF? Yup Luke, I love a dry battery and no corrosion.... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' /> <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/018.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt078' />

I told you too! lol......Going to get my Optima tested soon as I don't like to go more than 3 years on any battery in a vehicle and when I had Firestone do the last tire rotation, balance and alignment they told me it tested weak.......may be a warranty issue if so.

Good you got the large sized batt.

Thanks for the update and give me a call bro.!~

I've no problem with your spending $300 for a battery, especially with all the stuff you travel with. For my limited needs, my Optima RedTop battery is more than adequate and so far, no corrosion..

I'm trying to figure out this Odyssey dry battery stuff. My Red Top Optima use a gel technology, I believe, but I'm unfamiliar with vehicle dry cell batteries. I guess a vehicle dry cell battery is like an very, very large Duracell rechargeable Coppertop battery.

I hope you and your family have a great vacation and stay safe. Keeper and I will hold the fort down until you get back. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/023.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt078' /> <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />
