Looking at Trailers Now

The wife has decided to change our vacation palace. We have been RV'ers for a while now, but always in a Class A. With the kid growing up it just made more sense. Now that he is getting to the point where no longer wishes to be seen in public with his parents, LOL. We are looking into either a TT or a 5th wheel.

I am sure I can find the right trailer for our needs, and I am keeping Dry Weight, Gross Weight, and Hitch weight in mind.

Question is in regards to the hitch should I go 5th wheel. I have the Longbed with BigTow and 4x4. Which rail kit? or other items should I keep in mind? I have always been partial to the Reese brand of 5th wheel hitches, but not married to them. I do not need the $2500 slider from Pull rite.

Thanks for your help,

I told you to go with a TT so you still have your bed for storage biatch.. All looks good but I think there is a new brake controller by Techonsha (sp?) The P3........ I really like what Terry bought.. just big enough, light, and with a full bath, etc........ Got any pics of what you are considering? I can tell Steve how to put in your tranny cooler so you can "Supervise" <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt005' />

Oh, one more thing, even with the WDH and your F-A you will prolly want air bags to get rid of the sag... JMO... I can send Steve instructions on that too.. lmao... OH, PRG shackles too... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt023' />

BTW... Us and DK are campin' 7/2 - 7/6 at lake Morena.. Good times. He has never seen Generation Kill (he is a Marine) I put my HD 27" tv out at night and we watch movies.. Steve is sendin me the DVD set I bought him for our viewing pleasure... Thread to follow in 2 weeks or so.. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/004.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt012' /> <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt006' />

Well I can figure out the cooler and the bags. I won't need the shackles since I have the improved 08 version. Have done tranny cooler on just about all my vehicles. And I spent some time today reviewing your wiki things. I have been looking for a 27 to 30footer with a rear bath. Wanting the crner oversized shower. We only have the boy for a couple more years so bunks are useless to me. Well maybe for Nascar, but they can buy it if they want them. LOL. I would like smooth fiberglass sided but not for the extra money. Have t be a heck of a steal. Plus I still have the WarPig in storage to get cleaned up and sold first. Gonna be an iffy thing in the current financial situation. Anyone wanna use their O'Nointed funds to get a deal on a motor home?

I was bustin your ballz. I know you know how to do that chit.. 27-30' ? Way to big for your (my future needs) IMO..... Go with maybe 22'... Hold on.. Lemme search.. Also, if you dry camp mostly a generator like 2 - 1000u Hondas will be needed... No? May I also suggest solar panels and 2 6v batteries... I can supply the list of goods and a schematic...... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt023' />

Well we are for sure going to get a slide out in the replacement. So that rules out all tiny ones. This is Texas Kev, and I could not show my face if I got something smaller than a 27. Not to mention I would have to hand in my "ManCard" if I did. LOL.

As to the dry camping, I will end up getting a 5500watt from Lowes or similar. i know how much quieter and efficient the Honda's are when strapped together. Cost will play in on that. Never say Never. Craigslist has been good to me at times.

I may well end up with a 20-30ft with the bunks, but only if it is with the huge exterior door and the botton is a double that folds up for coolers , etc..

I know the HH6 has a requirement of a corner style shower. The showerpan on those is like 36"X36" so even I will have room to turn around. LOL

SHUT UP STEVE>.

I will see if I can find a floorplan and somehow paste it in here of similar ones I am looking at. You never know, if I find a 5'ver with the right price and hitch included I will still look into that.

We just sold our 26' Class A last spring and bought a used Titan and a 27' TT. We have had it out twice so far. We really like it better than the "Great Pumpkin". Our gas mileage is better and I don't mind backing it in to campsites. We bought a used TT as well because we just retired and want to have money to play instead of making payments. One thing I like about our TT...We bought one with a front kitchen ( rear kitchen would do the same). It gave us a lot more living space. I went with a TT instead of a 5'er because I like having the use of the truck bed for other things. ...RVH

Well I still haven't been able to unload the RV. Not the best economy for it. I hope to turn it in the spring though. We are just going to rent TT for our needs. The guys and I will use a 31ft quad bunk for Nascar. The family will use a 27 or 29 foot best space/layout for summer vacation. Only cost me like $500 or so for the week. No maintenance, storage, or insurance required all year long. Should have done this all along. LOL

Pics! I bought my '01 in 2005 for 11k. Dude paid 24k for it in '01. Got a great deal, even stock. But the seller did a few mods that added to the value. In fact I have done a few that are sweet.. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/004.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt013' />
