How much should I pay for used leather seats front & back?

I have a chance to get some oem leather seats for the T. I've never cared for the fabric used on the 04's so it would be a nice upgrade.

How much would be a fair price? The truck's been in a wreck but the seats look like they're in good shape. I'm trying to balance this versus if I just end up reupholstering my own seats.

Certainly less than one grand as you can buy aftermarket leather seat covers installed for about a grand. And the new aftermarket leather seat covers will be brand new as compared to the wrecked vehicle. So I would say not more than $500, possibly less depending on the condition.

That's about what I was thinking Luke. Maybe I'll make the guy an offer this weekend. I need to find out if anyone was killed in the truck - I'm kind of funny about sitting in a seat that someone else met their demise in...

Well, no one was killed or even hurt in these seats so that's good. According to the guy the truck was park and sideswiped by a big rig. I'm negotiating a sale right now, so we'll have to see where we end up..

Well, I guess that's caput. The guy wants to get at least $200 per seat plus shipping, so minimum $800 plus shipping. I can get my own seats recovered, brand new for less than that, so I suppose I'll be tooling around on cloth instead of leather for now... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/090.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt090' />

I had new leather from Classic Soft Trim installed in my Titan back in May and the installed cost for the leather was $999. I cannot remember the cost if I did the installation but it was either $599 or $699. I had graphite seat heaters installed in the front seats so the cost was an additional $400. The aftermarket leather covers have much more leather content than OEM which is mostly simulated leather or pleather.

Got my crewcab swapped to leather after the fact at a local shop for $900 IIRC.... Back in 2008-ish

Yeah, besides I haven't 100% decided I want leather anyway. I had it in my Miata and frankly I didn't care for it. I like it in my recliner, but my house is always climate controlled. It's rough getting into cold, or hot leather. I keep the T in the garage but that doesn't help when I'm parked at work.

Yes leather does have the drawbacks of which you speak but the cold can be mitigated for cold with seat heaters that I had installed in my leather covers. There are also ventilated and cooling options for hot leather seats but I don't know know well they work.

The primary reason I wanted leather was because leather has a far less tendency to soil and can be easily cleaned if they become soiled. The Titan cloth seats are particularly subject to spotting even from water.

Nothing looks worse that soiled and spotted cloth seats in a vehicle interior where the owner has been less than fastidious in keeping the interior clean. I'll take the leather interior with the occasional hot and cold seat any day over crappy cloth seats.
