no actually, i don't talk to the tomtom <img src='<#EMO_DIR#>/017.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt017' />

the clarity is good during the day. it has brightness settings and color settings, so you can set a daytime and night time color/brightness scheme. i do have it set at a slight angle so i'm looking more head on at it

so far so good...i've done a couple of trial runs with it and seems to work well. one thing i had to figure out is that it is sensitive to the direction before the street name...for example, if you type "lake street" and you put in a house number like, 901, i got a screen saying "house numbers must be between 300-700. so i'm like, wtf, and then i realized....i needed "S Lake Street" which then the house number worked fine.
