I did it because on more than one occasion, I found myself wanting to open the locked tailgate while the truck was running, and wasn't so happy with having to turn the truck off to do it.
That's also another reason. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' /> That's the same reason I'm trying to hook up the popper to the lock box. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />
but wouldn't that side box just fall open if you use the power hook up to it? When i look at it in the dealer all i see is a key hole, so i assumed all you do is turn the key and it opens?
Right....which is what the popper will do...release the clasp.
so it will just fall open whenever he unlocks his doors???? <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/017.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt002' />
It won't be hooked up to the locks. It will have it's own button that will open the box. And I am wring this button to a relay so that it will only open if my truck is in park. This way you can't accidently hit the button while driving.

Sounds snazzy. Don't forget to take a bunch of pics for us so I can see if I'm interested as well!

Oh THAT'S just GREAT! ANOTHER sticknin mod to do! I can't even keep UP with them all now!!

Ummm, where for did you wire to the tailgate lock? In the front kick panel or the one near the back door?? When I wire mine I want it to be wired to a passenger door rather than the main door.

Have you also thought about adding a power lock motor to the fuel door?? <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/005.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />

When the doors are unlocked, the fuel door can be opened by pressing in on the door which makes it "pop" open. When the doors are locked, the fuel door is locked by an electronic acutator. Push and push but the door won't "pop" if the actuator is engaged. I wish the Titan had that feature. It's also nice because it doesn't have the recessed area for your finger to open the door. It's a much cleaner look.

That's where I got the idea. I traded a Mo for the Titan. I think by mounting a loop, or a tab with a hole in it on the door and mounting an actuator inside the fender it will work. Lock the doors and the actuator runs a plunger through the tab/loop and keeps the door from opening.

I ran it to the the front passenger door kick panel. I don't have one of those neat rear doors with locks and roll down windows. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' /> <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/005.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt005' />
OMG I dodn't realize the windows didn't open in the little doors. They do in the Crewcab Dodge...   <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/005.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />  <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/005.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt070' />
I have to say that Dodge deserves at least one nod in their favor. They have roll down windows on their rear doors, and we have transmissions that remain intact. Seems fair to me.

Yeah but you have to compare apples to apples. The crewcab Dodge has four real doors, just like the crew cab Titan, which the windows roll down in. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt002' />

However, the F-150 has King cab windows that roll down. And I do think that's cool. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt005' />

I know, it was a play on comparing the size of Dodges crew doors with the size od the Nissan club doors. You know a joke just loses somenthing when you have to explain it....
