Drivinginthemedians intake manifold cover

Well, I had to make a new thread for this because I didnt think anybody would see mine on Vshorts post.

First I washed my cover with dish soap and very hot water to get rid of any oils of course. Then I just taped of what I wanted to be silve and primed it about 3 times and sanded it pretty smooth.

I sprayed it about three times with radiant silver rattle can paint and then let it bake in the sun for a while.

After I took the tpe off of it it looked pretty good so i put it on. and took a few pics of it on Vshorts thread. It looked like crap on there because I took pics with my phone.

The more I looked at it the more I wanted to do something else to it.

I got the idea this morning to pin stripe the edges where it changed colors and then clear coat everything to bring it all together.

I got some more pics with my phone again but they are a hell of alot better this time.

That looks great mang!

Somebody with photochop skilz should show me what one done in green would look like.
Nice Job!  Looks like that's what Nissan should have done with it in the first place!
I agree and I will do yours too for just a small fee of one million dollars

I'm trying to do vshortts now, but I'm having a problem keeping the lines in it because of how even the red is. Anyone have a decent photo of one unpainted?

Here's a quick version. Thanks for the blank. It's a little hard to do the blending with Canteen because it's already a dark color.

Let me know if you want to see something nicer, or in a different color.
