Distorted audio in Front Speakers (Rockford Fosgate)

I am new to the Titanspot forums, I have a problem with my Rockford Fosgate system. I have distorted audio in the front speakers only. I replaced the speakers and still have the problem. I am assuming that the Oem amp has problems with the front outputs. Does anyone know how I can verify this? I assume the problem could be coming from the head unit, so if anyone has seen this problem before, I would really appreciate some input. Thanks in advance.

Would be a pain but I suppose you could get to the wire harness and swap the front / back wires. If the back speakers are distorted there is your answer. But... considering you put new speakers in, I say time for a new head unit.

Just to make sure I understand...You think it is the head unit and not the amp under the dash? I'm watching a head unit on ebay, but I'm afraid to buy and then it turn out to be the amp. The amp looks like it would be a huge chore to replace.

The speakers seem to be distorting, but Its not just one, but seemingly all of them. Mostly noticeable with spoken voice and at low volume. Are these Rockford Fosgate head units know to distort? Or the Amps?
