Thanks guys I am very happy with it. I drove the truck around for about 2 weeks to make sure I would not miss the handle. I am used to it now, just grab the wheel and use my step to climb in.

Im not worried about the firewall wires but the a pillar wires through that piece of metal may be a concern. The gauge pod was a pita to get the 2 tabs and my toggle bolt to line up all at once so I wont be taking it off to install a grommet. I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope that there is not much movement up there to cause friction between the wires and the metal handle post.

How is the view out the window, with the extra guages. Our A pillars are pretty wide to begin with. Going around a corner i've lost sight of cars, let alone bikes or people behind the big pillar.

That a-pillar is one of my only complaints about this truck. I hate that blind spot. The gauge pod is not wider just deeper so the blind spot is no worse than before.

Wow, what a write up. Darn good job. You must have spent more time on pictures along with the write up then the install itself. LOL. Looks real nice.

That is the truth brutha! The write up is not quite the quality I wanted though. You would be amazed at how great intentions get lost with a lack of patience. I wrote the whole thing in word over 2 or 3 days then posted it in the moderator forum to add pics, edit, etc... They swore not to peak but they all did.. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />

I figured if I didnt provide enough info folks could just post questions...

You'd be amazed at the stares I get from Titan owners and even big 3 guys... Have yet to be waived over to answer questions though. This and my diff cover only add to the "look back" factor when you walk away from your truck... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/004.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt004' /> I love this truck! <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/001.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />

I can believe that. It does look sharp. I do like it, but with an artificial knee and just plain getting older I need the grab handle.

I'm a coupla years from knee replacement. But I hear ya. I drove around for a month without the handle to make sure I wouldnt miss it. I use the AMP power step and the steering wheel to get in... Dont miss the handle at all. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/001.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt006' />

The gauge pod is not my cup of tea and it seems redundant but I like it if you like it. I have never had any use for the handle as it is simpy there as ornamentation for the most part.

krh2, what is this about having a knee replacement in a couple of years? A young whippersnapper like you having a knee replacement. I was talking to a cousin of mine who is talking about having a knee replacement and when I saw him last summer, he didn't show a hint of a problem with a knee.

Bobby Cox, the skipper for the Atlanta Braves, has both knees replaced a few yeqars ago and now he is talking about having them replaced again! WTF, those things must not last very long. Luckily, I don't have any knee problems but I would think long and hard, especially for a young fellow, before I would take that step. I would want to know how many times the leg bones can tolerate multiple replacements.

In any event, good luck! <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/023.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt018' />

I've had bad knee (s) since playing baseball in highschool. I was a pitcher and came down on my left foot and my knee went sideways (dislocated) my femur is too shallow for my patella. A few surgeries and then one 2 years ago. They did a lateral bypass to prevent my patella from floating. My surgeon was Marshal Faulk's. Well he is a good dr no doubt. But now both my knees are killin me and I walk with a slight limp. No more dislocating though. Anyway I said with all my problems why not just give me some new knees. He said they only last 10 years or so and at 40 I am a little too young. Working on my feet on concrete for the past 23 years dont help much either.
