Just confirmed that Dick Scott Nissan will have the timing advance available for $60! In addion, we have will have a raffle for some great prizes (as donated by some of our Titan sponsors). My sincere thanks to Brian (yournissanparts.com), David (PremierTruck Accessories), SOBE Graphics, and Jason (Burtman Industries) for your generousity and support! Just so not to spoil the surprise, I won't go into too much detail about the prizes... you'll just have to attend!

Additionally, we will have folks from the Accessories group @ the Nissan Technical Center in attendance.

Don't miss this great event, Saturday, September 23rd from 10 AM until 3 PM @ D1ck Scott Nissan in Canton, MI.

Timing advance

Hey Qwikwhip,

I originally tried to negotiate the timing advance to be free. Unfortunately, I could not guarantee a turnout of 15 or more Titans to get this deal. If you remember @ the NJ meet, there were atleast 30 Titans in attendance.

Anyways, for the small numbers of Titan faithful in Michigan, I think this meet will be a surprise! There will also be some Frontier folks joining us too! I also own a 2005 QX56, which I will have my father drive to this meet (as I have also invited our Armada/ Infiniti brothers).

I think the most intersting thing will be the number of Nissan engineers who have mentioned that they would be interested in attending, especially the folks from the Titan accessories development group. We'll be able to get some info on the 2009/10 Titan Heavy Duty.

hey cujo,

any chance you could get them to hook up the QX56 to the consult, and check what the timing is set at stock for them??? hopefully they wont charge you to do that!

thanks
Cool, Hope you guys have a great meet!

Oh, and just FYI, at the last Jersey meet we had they did the Timing advance for $25. It takes the tech less than 5 minutes <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />
Brian and the tech doing the work said that they will also charge only $25 anytime, which is why i didnt rush to get it done, but the next time i'm down there, I think i'm going to swing by and say hi to brian, then get the timing advanced.

Timing advance

I am going to see if they'll lower the price for this, considering all of the free publicity that they're getting from our gathering.

I won't be taking the Qx56 to meet because I just found out about 60 minutes ago that my wife got into an accident with it. Luckily, she's is okay but I am not overly anxious to see the damage. Hopefully, we'll have someone with an Armada/ Qx56 @ the meet.

Wow! Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad she is ok. The Q can be replaced, your wife can't. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/002.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />

Titan meet Sept 23 in Canton, MI

I spoke with Nick Brown @ Dick Scott this afternoon and I am trying to get us a better deal on the timing advance. I hope that I can get it for $30 or so.

Anyways, my QX has been totalled this afternoon when my wife was hit by a school bus...looks like the driver was DUI. The preliminary insurance report has stated that it is not salvagable. So much for my QX. At least my wife okay... better the QX than her.

Wait a minute......the school bus driver was DUI??? Were there kids on the bus? If so, you'll bet that the driver is about to get the crap sued out of them...and rightfully so. Wow...some people are just too freaking stupid to be wandering the streets. <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/009.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt001' />

Holy Cow Cujo! I read earlier that it was in an accident, but had no idea that it was so severe.

The good thing to remember is that the vehicle did it's job - it protected it's occupants.

This might prompt your wife to want another one. And with a bit of luck, a good insurance company, and holding your tongue just right out the corner of your mouth, you might just get another one.

Please bring photos of the carnage - we'll want to see what sort of damage a drunk schoolbus driver can cause.

PS... did it have rear sonar, nav, etc? I'd be game for a little investigation work in order to pull some goodies - of course, we'll have to see what the insurance company wants for all of it.

$30 for the advance seems more reasonable to me. I may have a dirty titan because it's suppose to rain here thursday and friday, so i'm not sure a wash will hold. oh well, still gonna be fun

Aside from the $30 timing advance...

Just an FYI but Dick Scott Nissan is also offering an oil change for $24.95 + tax. Just go to their website and print off the service specials coupon.

Here's the link: http://www.dickscottnissan.com/Specials-Service.aspx

They are going to have their service area open for us during this event. I am going to have one done, right after the timing advance!

3 more days... 3 more days!!!! <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/003.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt003' />
