Lifted Titans with Big Tires - Post your MPG
#1
I'm not interested in mini-lifts..I'm curious what people with a 4" - 6.5" lift and big tires (35s) on their 4x2 Titan are getting for MPG...

  • What size lift do you have?

  • What size tires/wheels are you running?

  • What was your city/hwy MPG before lift/tires?

  • What is your city/hwy MPG with lift/tires?
    • I'm considering adding:
      • CST 4" Spindle Lift

      • PRG 2.5" Front spacer (already on my truck)

      • Rear Bilstein shocks

      • CST Carrier bearing drop kit

      • 2" Rear Block

      • 2.5" Deaver pack
        • The above items will cost me around $1100...New tires will run another grand probably, so I'm looking at around $2000 to get the look I really want. It's quite a chunk of change, and if I decide to pull the trigger on this, I will end up keeping my Titan for a long time to enjoy the mod and spread the cost out a bit. I'll probably put on 35" tires on the stock 18" rims. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger for this lift in late Spring, probably sometime around May.

I'll add new coilovers after the stock ones start crapping out on me.

I would say expect somewhere around 10-11 mpg with that setup

I know I'm only at 3" lift with 33's, but I'm getting about 11.5 mpg. I also have the BT gears like you do, so you will have my lower gear ratio, not the higher one like V and Q-dub.

I just got a Titan with a lift (not sure how high) and its doing about 9mpg, does a cover really help with gas mileage and are there any other tips to increase mileage on these beasts, I love the truck so far but its really hurtin my pocket!

If you guys wanna guess the lift go ahead !! <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/001.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

welcome to the Spot. My ARE cover didnt help with mpg then again it weighs about 200 lbs.. I think this myth was busted on myth busters or was it driving without a tailgate... <img src='http://www.titanspot.com/Titan/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/017.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':smt006' />

On mythbusters I think they were prooving the tailgate down makes better MPG myth... and I think they got better results with the tailgate off totally...if I remember right...or was it up?...lol
