OK... I crawled under my T this evening trying to fine a rattling sound that I hear at low idle. As I was down there I went ahead and inspected for any potential issues, leaks, etc.... Right next to the trans pan, I noticed this hose w/ no clamp and cracked... :smt017 I'm not sure exactly where the other end connects.... Can anyone give me any insight on what exactly this is and if possible how to fix???

Thanks all,

Art

BTW.. rattling sound ended up being that the spare tire was loose & not tight up under the bed.....

It looks like a transmission shift cable protective cover/sleeve and joins a linkage arm. I just looked at mine and it's the same with 90K. Have someone shift the gears and watch the end of it to confirm.
Anyone else?

Thanks All,

I figured it was either:

A) Protective boot

or

B) Hose.

If it was a hose, that means there must have fluid, and since it wasn't dripping, that means it must be bone dry. And, yeah, if it's bone dry, then I've got some serious issue going on..... :smt013

I was leaning towards A), but you can never be too sure.... :smt001 Thanks for confirming my suspicions.... I love this forum already.... Almost as much as I love my Titan.....
